Robben Ford use the shoulder of the pick too. Pat Metheny also uses the side of the pick, but in his case he uses picks with a kind of a triangle shape. I use the shoulder too. Actually, I alternate between normal and shoulder + fingerstyle, and, yes, I suck in all those techniques. 🙂

Great stuff! After 40 odd years of playing, I find that I am playing less and less and getting more and more out of the guitar. I almost always use two note harmony chords when playing with a group for all the reasons you have discussed.

can you do a video on how to play the guitar to high tunes. It is one of me and my bands favourite Jamiroquai songs and I haven't been able to find a good tab online.
